The ceramic fiber rods consist of approx. 1000 bonded ceramic fibers with a diameter of only a few µm. The tips of each ceramic fiber are the cutting edges, which are temperature resistant up to about 150°C. The cutting edges have the feature of resharpening themselves. This creates a uniform grinding effect, which in turn leads to constant and excellent polishing and grinding properties.
