HSD: DEBURRING OF INTERSECTING HOLES
Fast and process-safe deburring of intersecting bores and edges
FEATURES OF THE HSD DEBURRING TOOL
- Rotating tool with movable cutting edges
- Pressure-controlled cutting edges fold into the cutting edge holder
- Cutting force can be determined with oil, air or cooling water
- Deburring quality is influenced by the pressure of the medium (oil, air or coolant), the working feed and the spindle speed
- High feed rates and speeds are possible (conventional deburring tools are limited in deburring speed by the inertia of the spring elements)
- No measurable change of the workpiece surface in the main hole
- Patented tool system

The force on the cutting edges is applied by pressure of a medium over the shaft. No spring elements are used. Water, coolant, drilling emulsions, oil or compressed air are suitable, also MQL or MMKS.
The force can be adjusted by the pressure. Without pressure, the cutting edges fold in without force. When used with pressure, the cutting edges are pressed in by the bore wall, for example, and fold out again at the edge - i.e. at the burr.

In spindle clockwise rotation, the pressurised tool (controlled cutting edges) enters the main bore. |
|
The tool drives through to the end of the main bore at feed rate and deburrs all cross holes. |
|
When the end of the bore is reached, the feed is stopped and the spindle direction is changed to counterclockwise. |
|
When the tool enters the main bore, the cutting edge is "folded in" in the tool shank. | At the desired position, the cutting edges are "folded out" by the pressure medium. The cross hole is deburred. |
